Once there lived a semi-barbaric king who thirsted for justice. He had a special trial in place for anyone who dared break the law.
The king had a daughter who was in love with a handsome young man. Believing the man wasn't good enough for his daughter, the king sentenced her lover to the trial.
The princess had a choice - did she direct the prince to the door with the tiger or the woman? She spent many sleepless nights debating the pros and cons of each option before making her decision.
The day of the trial arrived, and, as the princess predicted, her lover asked her to choose the door for him. The princess gestured to the door on the right.
The prince knew what was coming next. He took a deep breath and walked bravely to the door on the right.
Out of the door leaped a tiger. The young man managed to shout "I love you, princess." before the tiger tore him to bits. He knew the princess would point to the door with the tiger. It's what he would have done if their roles had been reversed. Both knew it was better to be dead than married to someone you do not love.
