  • By squeezing citrus juice on apple slices, it might cause a reaction in which the apple slices will not turn brown.
  • Create a hypothesis
  • Preform and experiment; Identify the control, independent, dependent, and constant variables in an experiment.
  • I'll get two bowls and put 5 slices in each one. Then I'll squeeze 5ml of citrus juice on  bowl A and leave bowl B alone to see how citrus juice affects the slices of apple.
  • Looking at the results of my experiment, I can conclude that squeezing citrus juice on the apple slices does help prevent them from turning brown.
  • Analyze data
  • The apple slices with citrus juice squeezed on them did not turn brown as opposed to the slices with no juice.
  • Draw a conclusion
