All of the trash is harming animals. When the animals see the the plastic they think the trash is food and eat the trash. Those animals die after eating the plastic and people want to help to get rid of all of the trash.
There are many ways to help clean up the ocean. One way is picking up litter. Doing this will prevent more trash to get in the ocean. Also you can recycle. If you recycle the trash will be used in a different way .
