  • Battle of Saratoga
  • Valley  Forge
  • Thomas Paine
  • The battle of Saratoga was important because it was the turning point of the war since it made the French want to help.
  • Foreign Help
  • Valley Forge was important because George Washington lost a lot of troops due to hunger, freezing to death, sickness, abandonment, and end of term in the army. Until  Christopher Ludwick came and made them a bunch of food.
  • Affected families
  • Thomas Paine was Patriot writer. Wrote a pamphlet called American Crisis. Which brought up the spirits of American troops to cross the Delaware.
  • Loyalist treatment
  • BOO!
  • Foreign aid was helpful because they trained the patriots. They help fund their troops. They helped win some fights. The French were the main contributers
  • Families were affected because the women would have to farm and take care of children by themselves. Also, the children had no father. 
  • Patriots would be jerks and boo at loyalists and mob at them. They would some times tar and feather loyalists.
