I think Pierre knows what he is leaving behind. That includes leaving his family in a cold winter with his baby sister.
Pierre just set off and his stomach sank... he is feeling kind of home sick trying not to think of home because it will probably just make it worse. After getting blisters on Pierre's hand hes kind of been lonely not having anyone to talk to cause he doesn't get along with the people in the canoe very well.
So glad we finally made it all the way here. But now is where we work are tails off.
My group... portaged. It was super rough didn't like it worst thing I have ever done. The only thing I felt was pain. My feet started to hurt walking over all the rocks, my back hurt from caring all the bags. WORST THING EVER
My group decided to go through a cut across on Lake Superior. It was NOT a soft ride through the short cut. the bow kept on snicking with all the waves. Worst canoe ride ever my socks were wet. Blah!!!
I feel so glad that we are here took so long but it is worth it. After all that HARD work it took to get here glad it's over. But soon we are going to do the same thing all back over again with the waves flooding into the canoe, portaging, and getting back home to see mom and dad but still have a lot left to do here before that comes.
The day of leaving the boats were loaded at 3:00 A.M. As each voyageur pushed off of the dock they said a little prayer. Time to make a big decision. "Do I want to come back or do I not." This year was fun but not at first I was being pick on not liked alot but as we went forward it got better I think it's worth another time to come out to enjoy the fun.
