Mary Maloney killed her husband because he was going to leave her. Mrs. Maloney had to get rid of the murder weapon (leg of lamb), so she cooked it, and let the police officers eat it.
Mr. Rainsford fell off of his yacht and ended up on a island that belonged to a man named General Zaroff. Mr. Rainsford has to play a game with the general and win in order to live, and the game is hide and seek, then Rainsford ends up winning and Zaroff is fed to the dogs
