- How earthquakes are caused?
- An earthquake is caused by a sudden slip on a fault. When the stress on the edge overcomes the friction, there is an earthquake that releases energy in waves that travel through the earth's crust and cause the shaking that we feel.
- People may be killed or injured. Homes may be destroyed. Transport and communication links may be disrupted. Water pipes may burst and water supplies may be contaminated.

- yea, It affect our nation also. Some of the common impacts of earthquakes include structural damage to buildings, fires, damage to bridges and highways and tsunami.

- Although ground shaking is the major source of earthquake damage, secondary effects can also be very destructive. These include landslides, saturated sandy soils becoming soft and unstable, flooding of low-lying areas and tsunamis washing over coastlines.

- During the event, the safest place is an open space, away from buildings. If you are indoors, take cover under a desk, table, bed, or doorways and against inside walls and stair case. Stay away from glass doors, glass panes, windows, or outside doors. Do not rush to go out of the building, to avoid the stampede.
