I'm Frank, and I work a a lumberjack. I arrived in MN in 1902 from Poland, I came to MN for a better life and more opportunities.
The main lumber industries area was northern MN.
It started when Minnesota's population was really growing, so people need more lumber for houses and etc.
As the industries grew, more male European immigrants started joining the business.
To get the logs to sawmills, they had to transfer them through a river, which can and is very dangerous.
So? How do people use lumber, well they us it for building houses and for fire (back then).
