"Nobody listens any more. I can't talk to the walls because they're yelling at me. I can't talk to my wife; she listens to the walls. I just want someone to hear what I have to say...." (pg 78) here he feels alone and is in the middle of two worlds and that is when he decides to go to faber's house to talk to him.
When Montag goes to the subway he tries to memorize a verse from the bible but is distracted and gets interrupted by the Denham's Dentifrice ad. (pg74-75)
Here Montag arrives at Faber's house and asks to come inside, Faber immediately recognizes Montag and says he hasn't done anything wrong. (pg76)
