  • With Natural Selection, It can help get rid of the more unfit organisms in a species and to lead more fit organisms to have a better species in an enviorment
  • Focus Question How does natural selection lead to adaption in populations?
  • With this Adaptation, it helps Bats hunt during the Night by using sonar to detect where is everything, but if they dont have sonar they would have to hunt during the day because they dont have night vision which would make them more easily noticed by the predator of the bats during the day
  • Environment: Cave Organism: Bat Adaptation: Sonar Adaptation Type: Physical
  • Some bats have sonar while some bats dont have sonar, making them only hunt during the day which makes them more in danger from the predators that eat bats
  • Since bats mostly hunt at night, the ones without sonar wouldnt be able to be more aware of their surroundings and the ones with sonar would be more fit with the environment
  • When Bats hunt during the night their sonar helps detect where food, animals, and their surroundings around them which makes them easily more aware of their surroundings then if they dont have sonar they would be likely to starve and not have any food to find and eat
  • Since there is some bats that dont have sonar and some do , its more likely that the bats with sonar would be more fit for their environment so all of the bats without sonar would be gone and there wouldnt be much of bats the without sonar and more bats with sonar.
