Storyboard Text

  • Hey did you understand what we learned in ESS today about the Solar Nebular Theory?
  • Yes! I can explain it to you if you want!
  • The solar system formed about 5 billion years ago from gas, and dust. it became more dense and super hot, and eventually nuclear fusion happened and created the sun
  • it took the sun about 10 million years to be created. light gas was swept away from the sun and left heavy rock materials closer to the sun.
  • molten metal and dust started to form together and create clusters eventually forming rocks. These rocks would come together to form planets. The farther away planets collected ice chunks together along with gas to create our gas giants.
  • Thank you! I totally understand now!
