  • Art and Architecture Among the city of Alexandria was the  Pharos Lighthouse, that stood 400 feet in the air.  
  • The Legacy of Alexander After his death, Alexander the Great spread Greek culture throughout the Mediterranean world. He founded many new cities and blended cultures to make the Hellenistic civilization
  • Math and Science There were many mathematical and science-based advancements.   The Pathagerom Theorem was invented, along with the basics of geometry. Additionally, astronomers concluded that the Earth rotated on its axis.  
  • Medicine Hellenistic civilization was very medically advanced. Hippocrates studies the origin of illnesses and made cures for them. His oath inspires doctors today. 
  • Culture Alexander blended the cultures of Greece with many influences from other countries such as Egypt, Persia, and  India 
  • Women More women learned to read and write, some becoming poets and philosophers. Women of the royal family held considerable power.
