  • Really, I had no idea!
  • Finally I can vote! I've been waiting forever!
  • I've been working as a teacher and even some of my friends who went to college couldn't vote.
  • Two men see a flapper and one knows that she is in a relationship with a gangster.
  • Even now my sister still lives at home with her husband
  • The 19th amendment gave women the right to vote after being ratified in 1920
  • All i know is that I feel liberated with al this change.
  • Many women were working outside of the home and some went to college and started professional careers.
  • The makeup is heavy but the short hair and dress really feels freeing!
  • A majority of women still lived and worked in the home.
  • The flapper was the face of the new "liberated" woman.
  • Flappers wore short dresses, with lots of makeup and short bobbed hair.
