  • Exposition

  • “I wish to be left alone,” said Scrooge.
  • Major Conflict
  • ‘I wear the chain I forged in life,’ replied the Ghost. ‘I made it link by link, and yard by yard; I girded it on of my own free will, and of my own free will I wore it. Is its pat-tern strange to you?’
  • Rising Action
  • Two gentlemen asked Scrooge if he wanted to donate, but he decided to be an angry old man and started to explain why he doesn't want to donate.
  • Climax
  • Oh, Spirit! Oh no, no!Listen, I've changed. I won't be the same man as before. Tell me there is still hope — please! Tell me that if I change my life, the things that you have shown me will be different!'
  • Scrooge is haunted by Bob Marley's ghost and is told that 3 ghosts will visit him. If he doesn't change than he will be condemned
  • Falling Action
  • ‘I am in earnest. Go and buy it,and tell them to bring it here, that I may give them the direction where to take it. Come back with the man, and I’ll give you a shilling. Come back with him in less than fiveminutes and I’ll give you half-a-crown.’
  • Scrooge is visited by The Ghost of Christmas Present and Ghost of Christmas Past. They showed him what he is missing in his life and how to celebrate Christmas.
  • Resolution
  • I'll raise your salary, and endeavour to assist your struggling family,and we will discuss your affairs this very afternoon, over a Christmas bowl of smoking bishop, Bob. Make up the fires, and buy another coal scuttle before you dot another i, Bob Cratchit.'
  • The Ghost Yet to Come shows him his grave and his future if he continues his actions.
  • Scrooge wakes up and it is Christmas Day. He sends a boy to buy a turkey and gives it to Bob Cratchit.
  • Bob Cratchit arrives to the office late. Scrooge plays a joke on him, Bob Cratchit becomes confused. He ends up giving Bob a raise.
  • ''I am very sorry, sir,' said Bob. 'I am behind my time.'
