- Curley's wife walks up to Linnie and tries to comfort him about the dead puppy, Linnie reveals to her that he likes to pet soft things.
- Linnie its okay the puppy is just a mutt
- Curley's wife tries to get close to Linnie to comfort him and he grabs her and starts petting her. This freaks her out and she tries to get away. In the struggle, Linnie breaks her neck and kills her.
- What did I just do, What just happened
- Everyone on the farm finds out that Linnie has killed Curley's wife. Linnie runs and away and George run after him trying to catch him before the ranch hands do.
- I'm going to kill Linnie when I find him
- George finds Linnnie where he told him to go if anything ever went wrong. Geoge has Linnie face the other way and he describes the perfect dream of their farm. While describing the dream Geoge shoot Linnie to end all of the suffering.
- We are going to get the farm we dream of and everything will be okay
