  • Exposition
  • "'That's three faults, Kitty, and you've not been punished for any of them yet."'
  • Rising Action
  • What? Maybe I can get into the Looking Glass House through this Looking Glass. It is turning misty...
  • Author: Lewis Carroll By: Tiffany Moore
  • Climax
  • Alice's cat, Dinah, is cleaning her kittens. Dinah has finished cleaning the black kitten, Kitty, so Kitty is playing with a ball of yarn, which Alice is attempting to wind up, while talking to herself and Kitty.
  • Falling Action
  • What? Maybe I can get into the Looking Glass House through this Looking Glass. It is turning misty...
  • Alice steps through the Looking Glass when it turns "into a sort of mist..." on page 18. She steps into a place that she calls "The Looking Glass House".
  • Resolution
  • What? Maybe I can get into the Looking Glass House through this Looking Glass. It is turning misty...
  • Was it me or the Red King who dreamed it? Do you know, Kitty? After all, you were the Red Queen in the dream.
  • The climax is when Alice becomes Queen at a large feast held in her honor, and is not able to eat anything because everything is alive. The Red Queen introduces Alice to all the food and says that once you are introduced you can't eat it.
  • Alice shook the Red Queen/Kitty until it turned back into a kitten
  • Alice wakes up back home with Kitty/the Red Queen and wonders whether the Red King or Alice dreamed it. We never find out because Lewis Carroll says on page 225, "Which do you think it was?"
