Today, young Samurai are being trained to be part of the Japanese warriors.
Hello fellow Samurai! I am Keizo, your instructor. I will teach you guys all the different types of training that the Samurai go through!
So first, who knows why we train to become a Samurai?
Is it because we need to become warriors to protect the peasants and the farmers?
Well, that's part of the reason why. The Bushido, which means "The Way of the Warrior", is a code of honor and morals that made sure that all Samurai lived with honesty, fairness, fearlessness in the face of death, honor, and loyalty. Samurai perform seppuku to preserve personal honor, avoid capture in battle, or compensate for a crime.
Wow, being a Samurai is not easy! We have so many responsibilities!
Now shall we take a closer look at all the training the Samurai go though?!
Oh yes you guys do!
Uh oh... This training seems hardcore!
I hear some sword noises...
Obviously, Samurai get military training and they do fencing and martial arts to train.
Here, warriors fight with swords called katana. They learn to get the enemy to make the first move, and how to stay out of range of the enemy's sword.
