Storyboard Text

  • Hey, Nick in the paleolithic age, people had to move often they lived in small caves and rough tent-like shelters. These were temporary because the people were hunter and gathering. They were always on the move.
  • Hey Nel, we have shelters that are more permanent. They used mud bricks and packed together to build houses that were rectangular in shape. Some people even add sticks and stones to the mud for the walls and the roof.
  • Hey Nick, we now have several rooms that we can store food in. We have pits for cooking and for storing water. People would get on high ladders to reach high spots.
  • Perment shelter is important because houses gave people protection from harsh weather and wild animals, these shelters were more comfortable.
