  • In the book Take Me To The River, by Will Hobbs, a fourteen-year-old named Dylan Sands flies from Nashville, North Caroli, to Terlingua, Texas, to see his cousin Rio for the first time.  Rio and Dylan just want to have a great time together going down the canyons of the Rio Grande along the Texas-Mexico border but they find a Mexican kidnapper and gangster, so they run away from the fugitive and try to get themselves and the child to a safe place

  • Hey Dylan, nice to meet you for the first time. Ready to have a great time together.
  • Nice to meet you too, I am really excited about this adventure.
  • Yeah, this is amazing!
  • I am having such a great time with you, I wish we could do this more often. I love the views and everything!
  • From now on, you will do everything that I say. You guys are gonna take me out of here and if you don't listen to what I say you know what will happen. The cops are looking for me right now so we better hurry and start moving.

  • Rio: He is Dylan's cousin and lives in Terlingua Texas. He is a  really brave person and loves the wilderness and adventures. Dylan: He comes from Nashville, North Carolina, to visit his cousin Rio in Texas. It's the first time they  see each other. Diego: They might have killed his father and he was is going around the dangerous deesert of Mexico with a kidnapper.  He is a really brave boy. Carlos: He is a kidnapper and dangerous gangster that kidnapped Diego and is now lost in the Texas-Mexico border.
