Storyboard Text

  • I live in the Stone Age, which was broken up into two periods: Paleolithic Age and Neolithic Age.
  • The Neolithic Age began when we discovered farming. Now we don't have to hunt for our food!
  • To get food in the Paleolithic Age, the men had to hunt and the women had to gather fruits and berries.
  • Farming led to bigger populations, because we had enough food to provide for more people.
  • Most early settlements were found in the Fertile Crescent, which is an arc-shaped region with rich, fertile soil.
  • With farming, people could now settle in one place in permanent shelters instead of moving around to find food.
  • Farming led to bigger populations, because we had enough food to provide for more people.
  • Bigger populations led to the beginning of communities and city-states like Sumer in Mesopotamia.
