This is the exposition because it is introducing the characters and the setting. It is also showing what the conflict might be.
The Watson family heads to Birmingham to leave Byron at grandma Sands because of all his behavioral problems. This shows the Rising action because it is showing when the problem is starting to rise.
Kenny gets trapped in a whirlpool and Byron saves him. This is the climax because the problem was starting to get solved but it was not fully solved
Joetta was in Sunday school when it was bombed and Kenny thought she was dead but Joetta thought that Kenny was playing tag with her because she was hallucinating and it was a very hot day. This is the falling action because

When the Watson return home and Kenny is traumatized by what happened at Birmingham so Byron helps him calm down. This is the Resolution because all of the problems were solved.
