"...waved some of the towels and bedding around to spread "germs" and slept in the hot, fetid little building"(69).

"I felt... as though six Ford cars had run over my body"(71).
Mindset: Growth Mindset
"...and,finally,in 1936,Dr.Max Theiler developed a vaccine that safely kept humans from getting the disease"(82).
I think the author quoted the word "germs" on page 69 because the "germs" were not actually on the clothes and bed sheets they were carried by the mosquitoes.
The author put this line into the book becuase John Kissinger was trying to explain how he felt even if it was extreme.
Summary: The Most Important Thing
1.) In 1936 a vaccine for Yellow Death came out. 2.)Even though mosquitoes no longer have the virus some type of monkeys can too now. 3.)It is now IMPOSSABLE to eliminate the virus.
Even though Dr. Reed and most of his team passed away, scientist still worked hard with their evidence and experiments to find vaccine of Yellow Death. If Dr.Reed and his team had fixed mindsets then they would have given up and quit when things got to hard and when they had their major step backs, also the vaccine of Yellow Death probably wouldn't exist today.
