  • In Factories around the world
  • Honestly it's fine! Why are you even worried? They are all getting the food they want.
  • I know for a fact that our people don't deserve this treatment for their health.
  • This is absolutely unacceptable, this is unsanitary!
  • Unsafe food without regulation
  • False Labeling without inspection
  • One of my friends just recently got this medication but she takes it every two minutes, I think she got addicted? I thought it would cure my problems, not make them worse.
  • Oh yeah! For sure, they will cure all your illnesses and you won't need to ever worry about getting sick again
  • In the Early 1900s, the food and medicine industry were completely unsanitary and weren't being held up to the proper management. After Mr. Roosevelt and Dr. Harley Washington Wiley saw these conditions, they knew right away they were ready for change and ready to make a difference in the community.
  • Fixing the problems
  • Since i'm the president, it is my duty to work on this and do what's best for my people.
  • I'm Dr. Harley Washington Wiley, and I know from my research that your people are not getting the best and are being sickened.
  • During this time period, the food industry, especially the meat industry was very unsanitary and led to multiple accounts of food poisoning and wrong doing in this area. They were left with dirty conditions, leading to diseases getting out to the people. This was an issue because not just the workers were affected, everyone that ate meat during this time period would get deathly sick. Since there was no inspection, many got away with this and impacted the world.
  • Making a difference
  • Everything is so clean and sanitary! we haven't seen any diseases since the changes have been made!
  • During this time period, medicines such as narcotics were being labeled as magical curers of illnesses. This also included food being labeled safe when there were chemicals hiding the issues. During this time period, many got sick from the unsafe food and the unsanitary conditions, leading to a world of addiction and sickness. Since the medicine and food industry wasn't being regulated, many went without inspection and got around the world.
  • America Today
  • Mr. Roosevelt and Dr. Harley Washington Riley were realizing the true harsh reality of these situations and they were ready to crack down on these issues by enlisting groups and laws to provide the best for the people in America and throughout the world due to issues in the health industry of this time period.
  • After convincing the board to act on these major issues, president Roosevelt got the Meat inspection Act brought to inspect meat that went through the food industry for diseases and other unsanitary conditions. He also brought the food and drug administration to crack down on  the medicine industry by testing drugs before out into the market. Dr. Harley Washington Wiley brought the pure food and drug Act which brought attention to false labeling of food and medicine.
  • Woah! It's telling me exactly what i'm getting, preservatives and all!
  • Due to these new Acts and administrations, false labeling and safe food isn't noticeable in our community. Even though food poisoning is still prime in our community, the cases are very limited compared to the early 1900's. False labeling on medicine is no longer an issue due to the inspection process the drugs go through, along with the use of pharmacies and having prescriptions for harsher drugs.
