  • No more Corruption!
  • Our story begins in the 1980's, a freed nation had large corporations that ruled over the people. There was hope though, strong and resourceful people like Theodore Roosevelt worked to destroy the company's that were abusing their power.
  • The first problem that our heroes encountered were monopolies, these are when big corporations that controlled one product or more. This is very bad for the nation because they could jack the price up and no one could do a thing about it.
  • The next complication was the terrible corruption! Poor people were being taken advantage of, something had to be done. People were dying, starving, crying and none were snoring. Not one person in America was safe from their wraith, every kid and adult alike were working until they dropped.
  • Every one wanted to help get rid of these evil corporations, but no one had the power. There were only 2 things that could save us now, Theodore Roosevelt and our government. Even then it was going to be a hard fight.
  • Our saviors tried everything , new laws like the Sherman Antitrust Act. This law made it so big business had a hard time working smoothly. Sadly that didn't work, they also tried the Hepburn Act; this law made it very hard for them to use trains for profit. It worked quite well and slowed the growth of these companies.
  • If our great protectors didn't save us we would be very sad today. Large company's would rule over us, and no one could stop them. Good thing we had help when we did, and happily ever after America lived on.
