Storyboard Text

  • An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
  • If you leave an eraser on the table it will not move unless a force is applied to it. If you ride a bike it wil keep rolling until an outside force stops it.
  • The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object.
  • If you use the sam e force to push a truck and push a car, the car will have more acceleration than the truck, because the car has less mass.
  • The principle stating that for every ac tion there is an equal and opposite reaction. Thus, if one body exerts a force F on a second body, the first body also undergoes a force of the same strength but in the opposite direction.
  • when swimming you push yourself forward by moving your hands downward
  • it wont move unless i push it.
