  • AND EVERY MORNING, WHEN THE DAY BROKE, I WENT BOLDLY INTO THE CHAMBER ...

  • HE SHRIEKED ONCE-ONCE ONLY. IN AN INSTANT I RAGGED HIM TO THE FLOOR, AND PULLED THE HEAVY BED OVER HIM. I THEN SMILED GAILY, TO FIND THE DEED SO FAR DONE.
  • PEOPLE CALLED THE NARRATOR A MAD MAN FOR WHAT HE HAD DONE BUT HE DOESN'T THINK HES A MAD MAN
  • FALLING ACTION
  • FIRST OF ALL I DISMEMBERED THE CORPSE. I CUT OFF THE HEAD AND THE ARMS AND THE LEGS
  • THE NARRATOR WENT TO CHECK ON THE OLD MAN TO SEE HOW HIS NIGHT PASSED BEFORE HE STARTED THE DEED
  • RESOLUTION / ENDING OF STORY
  • 'VILLAINS' I SHRIEKED, 'DISSEMBLE NO MORE! I ADMIT THE DEED!
  • THE NARRATOR HAS KILLED THE OLD MAN IN A INSTANT AS HE COULDN'T STAND THE EVIL EYE ANYMORE 
  • THE NARRATOR KILLED THE OLD MAN AND NOW HE HAS TO CUT THE BODY TO HIDE SO HE WOULDN'T GET CAUGHT
  • THE NARRATOR ADMITS TO KILLING THE OLD MAN IN FRONT OF THE COPS AS HE COULDN'T TAKE THE GUILT ANYMORE
