  • Sustainable city presentation. by Mauro Calana
  • With the guide.
  • ENERGY
  • Hello there, i am the tour guide of this city. I will introduce the many things that make this city worth living in to you! I will show you our, energy source, food source, transporation, waste disposal and finally a unique inovation we use. Lets begin!
  • Hydro electric power is this city's renewable energy source. It doesn't require burning fossil fules or natural gas which pollutes the air so its very anti air pollution. The effect on the environment is also minimal....other than the deadly effect on local fish populations which can kill thousands of fish daily when they pass through the water turbines that generate the energy.
  • Our main food source  are tomatoes! tomatoes can bring many health benefits like reduced risk of heart disease and cancer. They are also a great source of vitamin c and potassium. However tomatoes may also lead to some health problems like heartburn, excessive sodium and if that wasn't enough, tomatoes are notoriously difficult to farm! They require lots of water and right conditions or they wont grow!
  • FOOD
  • TRANSPORTATION
  • BUY A BICYCLE TODAY!
  • Bicycles are our cities main means of transport. Bicycles produce barely any co2 or natural gas emissions. As only the people riding them create it. Although bicycles are very clean they can also be very slow compared to cars and busses, which can be bad in larger cities.
  • WASTE DISPOSAL
  • Our city uses recycling to conserve used things so that we may use them again. Instead of throwing a plastic bottle away, you can recycle it so that it may be used again. However some things cannot be recycled and must be thrown out which is a fault of recycling.
  • INOVATION
  • The invotation we use is water seer! Water seer can collect water from underground chambers, essentially giving fresh water without having to wait for rain or having to extract it from lakes! The problem though arises when conditions are dry. In dry conditions it wont be possible to collect water with water seer.
