- First box- Ned leaves Jane otherwise he will be killed and he leaves to make a good future and get more study even though he does not want to leave his mom Jane.
- I cant cry I know he has to go I have to be strong so he does not get killed.
- I'm going to miss my mom but if I see her really upset I won't go.
- Second box- She meets Joe with his two daughters and she said she did not want to jump the broom because that was for slaves and she said she was not a slave so they lived together instead and they lived happily.
- I'm Clara
- I'm Jane nice to meet you to!
- I'm Ella
- Third box- Then Joe wanted to move somewhere else but he had to pay the $150 dollars that Joe owes to Colonel Dye plus an interest fee of $30 dollars.
- Hello Colonel I have the $150 dollars plus the $30 dollars interest fee.
- Thank you may leave now but don't come back I won't be able to protect you anymore.
- Fourth box- Jane and Joe and his two daughters move to Luzana-Texas borderline where he could have a new job as breaking horses.
- Good job horse! I love breaking horses I have so many customers.
- Fifth box- Joe started breaking lots of horses but then Jane started having the same dream that was a nightmare over and over where Joe was going to get killed by a tall, slick, and clack horse that kept throwing him against the fence.
- Oh no that black horse better leave this is just a dream but it feels so real. AAHHH!
- I will tame this horse it cant kill me I'm a men and this will be proof that I'm one.
- Sixth box- Jane is so worried and scared for Joe about getting killed by that horse she saw even though she told Joe that he did not believe her. So she wanted to make sure that want she was dreaming was true or not so she went to see a hoo-doo and she said he will die if he gets on the third time.
- Hello I need favor for you to do for me.
- Sure of course I'm glad to help in anyway but but you must be strong if you want to know the truth.
