  • Okay class! Today is the day! We get to learn about maturation!
  • As you can see, the first stage of the cell cycle is INTERPHASE. It's broken up into three parts.

  • In PROPHASE, the first stage of mitosis, the genetic material condenses, and we can see the chromosomes!
  • During METAPHASE, the chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell
  • In ANAPHASE, the chromosomes separate and move to opposite sides of the cell
  • The last stage is TELOPHASE, where the chromosomes spread out and form two separate cells.
