  • Word has spread that Hamilton has coerced the press into letting Jefferson win the election of 1800
  • I challenge you to a duel for costing me the presidency!!
  • The death of Alexander Hamilton Adv U.S history
  • WIlliam Burr and hamilton said across the Hudson river to duel at Weehawken, New Jersey
  • WIlliam Burr and Thomas Jefferson tie in the election of 1800 and it is
  • One!!
  • One!!
  • Burr and hamilton have a choice when they arrive. Settle for a agreement or carry on with the duel.
  • FIRE!
  • When they arrive they bring a doctor just in case. The doctor has to look away in order to not claim liability.
  • The morning of July 11th, 1804 Burr and Hamilton begin their duel. And with their minds already made up they begin taking their paces.
  • William burr fires upon hamilton while Hamilton follows the rules of the duel and fires into the sky. At first Burr thought hamilton was firing at him and he shot directly at Hamilton.
  • Hamilton was shot and killed by William Burr. Hamilton's son was also shot and killed in a duel in Weehawken, New Jersey
