After Odysseus 20 year voyage back home to Ithaca he finally arrives. But a surprise led him to be mad, suitors have invaded his home and trying to rengage Penelope.
Then Athena meets with Odysseus and she disguised him as a beggar. She advised him to seek shelter with Eumaeus.
Soon after Athena left, Telemachus Odysseus son arrives to meet with Odysseus after Athena told him.
A little while goes by and Odysseus and Telemachus go to the great hall. All of the suitors except one helped the "beggar" but Antinous, the leader of the suitors did not.
Later on Odysseus the "beggar" and Telemachus remove all weapons when the suitors weren't in there. They had an upperhand in the surprise attack.
Odysseus kills all of the suitors and the unloyal maidservants with the help of Telemachus, Eumaeus and Philoetius. In a surprise attack Odysseus kills the suitors ring leaders Antinous with an arrow through the throat; he then kills smooth-talking Eurymachus, the other leading suitor, with an arrow in the liver. Melanthius and Melantho die more slowly after the slaughter of the suitors.
