  • "I hear it when we're walkin' along, but when we stop I don't hear it".
  • "I was just walking by when it crawled out of his hair...just crawled out of his hair-".

  • I hope that they don't find out that it was us in his collard patch
  • This scene is showing fear, because when Bob Ewell if following the kids home and and they are scared that someone that they do not know is following them. 
  • "At the front door, we saw fire spewing from Miss Maudies's diningroom windows". 
  • This scene is showing Miss Caroline's fear of the lice bug that crawled out of Little Chuck Little's hair, in the middle of class.
  • I was just trying to help Mayella, I don't know how I got into this mess.
  • This scene is showing fear because the kids are scared that Atticus will find out that it was them in Mr.Radley's yard. 
  • I'm going to watch over the kids, and protect them, but they will not know that it is me leaving them presents in the tree.
  • In this scene, fear is being represented when the kids and the other people in the town see the fire and are afraid of the house burning down and other houses catching on fire.
  • Tom Robinson is a mockingbird because he was an innocent man that only ever helped Mayella, and he was killed because he was a black man and the jury said that he was guilty because of his race, even though he did no harm 
  • "Tom Robinson was probably the only person who was ever decent to her".
  • Boo Radley is a mockingbird because he would always help the kids, even though they never realized it. He never did the kids any harm, even when they would believe all the rumors that they heard, he was nice to everybody even when they were rude to him.
