  • Hamilton and Jefferson we're arguing about the stability of the US. Washington and Congress agreed with Hamilton. They hoped a National Bank would offer stability for the US economy. The Bank of the United States was established in February of 1791.
  • Hamilton supporting the British
  • Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Patrick Henry argued that his plans were unfair
  • Jefferson wanted freedom for the people, but George Washington wanted to be neutral to all the opposing nations
  • He supported the British because Britain was wealthy and our major exporter and Importer.
