As you can see, the drought did not leave them happy and well. Finding it hard to make money, farmers had to migrate to California in hopes of doing better. The Dust Bowl and drought left people starving and with little resources, making it one of the hardest times in history.
So many people were using credit from the bank in those days due to the increase of products and the prosperous age after all the saving.

So when the banks broke, hundreds of people were moved to Hooverville to live for the time being. It was hard to live after spending so much on unimportant things, but they managed with small bites of soup and long hours of working or trying to find jobs.
