I was struggling really badly, especially in spanish. I didn’t know the parts of speech in english and I was supposed to learn it in another language! I was struggling really badly, I was hopeless. But I didn’t give up in school and worked really hard and halfway through the school year I was in Briarcrest. It was really hard, but I studied and study and studied until I could join the sports teams. That was a big day for me and I did track, basketball, and football.
Big Tony wanted Steve and I to go to the best school possible so he took us to a bunch of different schools. We kept getting rejected because of my grades and making me feel really bad. Then everything changed when we got to Briarcrest.
By my senior year, scouts started looking at me. That meant my grades mattered more than ever. I would wake up early and get to school at 6:30 every morning an hour before school and do a class of foundational study skills. It would help me catch up on things and I would review my homework and notes.
