"Come on lets go!" Henry and Marcus yelled. Kenny threw the ball straight into the hoop and said "no I'm good I wanna keep practicing for now." Soon after Kenny's friends rode their bikes away to play without him.
Kenny practiced till 10pm at night -- his arm hurt very badly -- and he finally went home. His friends already thought they could make the team and didn't have to practice. His friends -- who didn't believe in him -- kept telling him to stop trying.
The next morning Kenny's friends came over to visit him. Breakfast was made by Kenny's mom for his friends and they all enjoyed it. The next day were the tryouts.
Finally when the day of tryouts came -- which Kenny was very nervous for -- he thought his hard work would pay off. He arrived in the gym with around 50 other kids. Kenny's friend Henry went first and Kenny went last
Kenny had passed the tryouts and made the team! His friends who didn't practice -- which henry warned them about -- didn't make the team. They learned they should practice for next year
Kenny went home and celebrated with his friends but Henry and Marcus went and finally practicing for next year.
