June 28, 1919: The Treaty of Versailles is signed to end the war.
The Big Four were the USA, France, England and Italy. Although Italy left after they refused his terms.
France and England wanted to punish Germany and held an ultimatum where they could sign the treaty or get invaded by the Allied nations.
Germany was forced to sign the War Guilt Clause and pay £6,600 million for reparations.
As a result of this treaty, Germany suffered from hyperinflation and economic instability flourished.
It was after 1933 that the systematic breaking of the terms due to the rise of Hitler and his Nazis.
