Storyboard Text

  • Scylla and Charybdis
  • Odysseus gives his men a pep talk. He tells them how they have been in danger before and how they could win against the Cyclops if they worked at their full potential.
  • Zeus was to help them pull away before they mess up. The man at the tiller was to steer for the headland and watch the draft so they don't smother because it was smoky outside.
  • Odysseus was worried because a thought of Circe came to his mind. He tied his cuirass and took two spears. Then he walked up to the fore deck. He thought that maybe he would be able to see her from there. He could not see her.
  • The Scylla vomited and the sea was like a cauldron over intense fire. The spume fell like rain. When the Scylla swallowed the water they saw the funnel of the maelstrom.
