  • In October of 1789, many women marched to King Louis's palace, demanded for bread, and for Louis and Marie to return to Paris. These women had weapons and killed some guards.
  • Execution of Louis XVI and Marie Antioinette
  • The National Assembly wrote this document. It had Enlightemment ideas, natural rights, freedom of religion, speech, and social contract.
  • Rise of Napoleon
  • AHA! Im king now!!
  • Darkest part of Revolution, where Maximilien Robespierre was the leader. Radicals took control of the government, and many people were executed if they were suspected of not being loyal.
  • Fall of Napoleon

  • They were caught trying to escape so they were executed. Most people were very happy about this after realizing their leader would get up and leave when times were hard.
  • Napoleon had many years of military training, he led a French army and had lots of victories, took title of first consul, signed a concordat with the Pope, set up Napoleonic Laws, and finally crowned himself.
  • After the battle of Lepzig, Napoleon was exiled to Elba, thinking that was the last of him. Napoleon came back for the battle of Waterloo, and he took a fat loss in that battle so the British exiled him to St. Helena.
