  • Introduction
  • The Irish Potato Famine was a disease that got on most potatoes potatoes and left people with no food and some died of hunger. They also moved for freedom.
  • The Irish immigrants had to move on ships filled with a whole bunch of other people.
  • Most of them settle in New York and they often crowded into small homes that were intended for single families living in poor and cramped spaces.
  • Woman became chambermaids and cooks. Other men became farmers,  some helped build railroads and bridges. 
  • Their jobs weren't very good jobs. They had jobs that were dangerous and they got paid very little money.
