after the fertilization process where one certain sperm federalizes a egg the chemicals the egg makes helps the sperm find the egg the sperms have a bag of enzymes which explodes to help it get through the outer layer. once it is inside a genetic payload is delivered and 23 individual chromosomes of sperm and egg pair up. in implantation the fertilized egg travels down the fallopian tube towards the uterus, cells begin dividing. on day 4 the tiny bundle of cells is named a blastocyst. 5 days later, the embryo breaks out of the protective shell and implants in the wall of the uterus and begins growing
