  • The Himalayan Mountains lie on the Plateau's southern edge.
  • The air around the Tibet-Quinghai Plateau is thin and dry.
  • So, There is snowfall even in summer months. 
  • The Tibet-Quinghi Plateau stands in the southwestern part of Outer China.  
  • The two rivers Huang He and the Chang Jiang begin in this area.

  • The Taklimakan Desert's name means "Once You Go In, You Will Not Come Out."
  • The Desert claims about 105,000 square miles of land.
  • Legend says that two armies and 300 cities are buried 600 feet below the surface of the sands.

  • The plants are sparse, and commonly very small.There is usually a lot of space between them.
  • Unlike the Taklimakan Desert, The Gobi has very few sand dunes, and the sand is very rocky.
