A few months later, they realize that Jessica gets pregnant, it is unintended pregnancy. However, they don't have enough money to afford essential baby products and prenatal care. Moreover, paying money for food, caring, and nurturing in the future is devastating for Bryson and Jessica who are just teenagers.
After the birth of the baby, Bryson and Jessica are too busy taking care of their baby and are not able to focus on their school work. Eventually, their grades go down and they fail every class they take. It becomes very challenging for them to maintain a good friendship with their peers as well.
Bryson and Jessica start to feel very stressed and depressed as having a baby require a huge amount of responsibility. As time passes by, they get exhausted from nurturing the baby and get regretful from having unprotected intercourse.
One day, Bryson suddenly feels so much pain in the lower belly and he has a hard time peeing. He even has a fever. Bryson decides to go to a hospital to see if he is affected by any disease.
Bryson tells the doctor all of his symptoms within a few weeks and the doctor does a test on his urine (pee) to find out the problem. The doctor tells him that he has chlamydia which is a type of Sexually Transmitted Infections also known as STIs.
STIs are infections that spread through any type of sexual contact. The only way to prevent STIs is not having any sexual contact including sex or using condoms when doing intercourse. The doctor prescribes antibiotics as a treatment and he said Jessica who is a sexual partner of Bryson also needs treatment.
