I'm sitting in the backseat of the car on my way to the tennis tournament I'm playing in. I can feel the butterflies churning around in my stomach from all the nerves.
When I arrive, I talk to the tournament manager and sign in for the tournament. He tells me that my first match is in ten minutes, so I have some time to kill. I then go outside the tennis center to get a little break before I start playing.
I take a moment to calm down before I start playing because of how nervous I am. I can see a few birds flying around the sky and some others in the trees which calms me down a little bit. Tennis is so important to me and I don't want to screw up my opportunity to succeed in this tournament.
I finally get to step on court and start my first match of the tournament. I have a bit of a shaky start at the beginning because of my nerves, but I am able to overcome my nerves and win the first match!
Before I can even realize it, I'm playing again in the finals against an old friend. On the first point, I step up to the base line and bounce the ball on the ground three times out of habit. I toss the ball and hit it to the right side of the court for an ace.
The rest of the finals goes smoothly and I end up winning the tournament. I am so happy to finally achieve winning a tennis tournament because of my love for the sport, and because fo how much time I spent to improve my game. To celebrate my amazing day of tennis, I go out to dinner with my family to celebrate.
