Mr. Smith was teaching English when he observed members of his class to showcase varying emotions. When he noticed this, he remembered The Zones of Regulation and recognised that the children were in the blue zone.
From recognising the children were in the blue zone, he matched the individuals of the class to the emotions of sick, sad, bored, and tired. So, Mr. Smith decided to use the whole class strategy of listening to music for auditory stimulation and bring his students up into the green zone.
Though using music to as a means for auditory stimulation, the class was able to get back into the green zone. Mr. Smith was able to continue to teach his lesson. The children were now calm. focused, and ready to learn.
