  • Laurie comes home from his first day of Kindergarten. He tells his parents all about the day. He tells them that he had a good day, but there was a little excitement because of a boy in his class.
  • Climax
  • I need to talk to Laurie's teacher about Charles.
  • He tells his mom about a boy named Charles that is very naughty. Laurie's parents think Charles is a bad example for him. They think over time he might get better as he adjust though.
  • Falling Action
  • I would like to talk about Charles.
  • We don't have a Charles.
  • Over the next few weeks, Laurie tells his parents about how laurie would get worse, better, and then bad again. He even made a little girl cry. His mom wants to know more about charles. She decides to do that at the PTA meeting.
  • Resolution
  • Laurie's mom attends the PTA meeting. She starts walking to Charles teacher to talk. She is in hope of finding more about Charles.
  • The teacher seems to be eager to talk about Laurie. She said that it took some time for him to adjust. Laurie's mom asked about Charles, and she looks puzzled when she got asked that question. She let Laurie's mom know that there is no Charles.
  • Laurie's mom finds out that Laurie was lying to them all along. Laurie was actually Charles. Then the story ends.
