Lennie grabs Curly's wife and kills her. Now George and Lennie's dreams are crushed because now everyone wants to kill Lennie. The theme is every plan and dream some how gets ruined like the snapping of her neck is the snapping of there dream.
George finds Lennie in the bushes by the river then shoots him. This is the resolution of the story that George must shoot Lennie and this is the ending of there dream. The theme is the best laid plans of mice of men often get ruined. This is the end of there book and the end of there dream.
