At the beginning he lived a normal life and went to work casually like everyone else. In the story it describes what the war would later be like. It also described the settings of the wars. It showed how he was caring and kind to others.
Martin Blake called him. He was understanding what was happening during the holocaust. Before this time he was oblivious and it didn't affect him. He chose to set up an office to get parents to make their choldren be saved.
He just arrived at the internment camp. There, there was many different people that were starving. Somtimes being captured by the Nazi's. He felt very sad and wanted to help. He decided to start getting people out.
He later made offices and had parents sign up their children to be sent to Great Britain. He would later deport large amounts of people by plane, train and boat to Britain. After about 2 years of working he would get 669 children out of danger and into safe homes.
He later told his story around the world to show to people what it meant to live during WW2. He wanted people to know why it was important to help others.
The theme of the story is to help others when they need it. Nicholas winton chose to help all of the people who were endangered. He saved many childrens, valuable lives and preserved their happiness and wellbeing. We need to help others in danger just like nicholas winton.
