In the town of Antwerp everything was prosperous. Trade was booming. Ships would often stop and rest at Antwerp before continuing on their voyage.
One day a giant named Antigoon decided that he wanted to go be a big bully to the people of Antwerp
He took over a castle on the Scheldt river. From that point onwards any ship that wished to sail on the river was forced to pay Antigoon a fine. some Captains tried to avoid the fine by sneaking through in the night. Antigoon would always catch them and cut off their hands if they didnt pay up.
Antigoons taxes drove away many people from Antwerp and the town began to fall off the map. One day a roman centurion who was known as Brabo decided to challenge the giant. Before he did he requested soldiers from the local Duke who happily gifted them.
Gifted to Brabo were 1000 of the dukes soldiers. Together they stormed the castle until eventually Antigoon himself came forth. Brabo and Antigoon fought and fought until enventually Brabo bested Antigoon with a piercing blow to the stomach
Brabo had defeated Antigoon. Cutting off Antigoons hands, just as the giant had once done himself, signified the start of a new ere for Antwerp. News travelled about the slaying of the giant and soon Antwerp was once again a trade hub along the Scheldt river.
