Arrival at Roanoke
Colony from August to October
After John White leaves
When the colonist first arrived in Roanoke they did not know much about the land and did not bring enough supplies to last them. John White was forced to go back and get supplies which left the colonist with no leader. The colonist did not want to wait any more and decided to go back.
When John White returned to Roanoke he found that there was nobody there. His daughter also had here baby a little after he returned. They found the word CROATOAN in a tree, which probably meant that the colonists decided to go to croatoan.
I believe that the colonist traveled to Croatoan. One thing that tells me this is that there was the word CROATOAN carved into a tree which is a big sign that they just traveled over to Croatoan. Another detail that shows this is that they had been to Croatoan some time before this. One last detail is that a lot of the ancestors were white which means they probably related to the colonists
